
Ellen is a retired classical pianist, university music instructor (University of Michigan), and clinical psychologist. Her stories often unearth the power, passion, and heartache of music and musicians.
Her published work appears or is upcoming in a wide range of literary journals including Vine Leaves Press, Storytellers Refrain, Change Seven Literary Magazine, Papers Publishing, Heimat Review, and The Whitefish Review.
Her work has been accepted and published in two anthologies, The Dillydoun Prize Anthology, Vol One and in The Book of Life After Death published by Tolsun Books.
She was personally invited to attend The Writer’s Hotel (TWH) Annual Writer’s Conference in Boothbay Harbor, ME (May 2023) as a Teacher’s Assistant. She attended the conference in 2025 and will return in June 2026 as a Director's Assistant.
