Ellen is a retired classical pianist, university music professor, and clinical psychologist whose stories often unearth the power, passion, and heartache of music and musicians.
Her published work appears or is upcoming in a wide range of literary journals including Vine Leaves Press, Storytellers Refrain, Change Seven Literary Magazine, Papers Publishing and The Whitefish Review. Her work has been accepted and published in two anthologies, The Dillydoun Prize Anthology, Vol 1 (Honorable Mention) and in The Book of Life After Death published in September 2023 by Tolsun Books.
An essay, “Why Ellen Sollinger Walker’s Writing is Important” was published in July 2024 on Substack by Jade Brown, founder of Papers Publishing. She was personally invited to attend The Writer’s Hotel (TWH) Annual Writer’s Conference in Boothbay Harbor, ME (May 2023) as a Teacher’s Assistant. I have been invited back in 2025 as a Director’s Assistant.
I attended The Writers Hotel Mini-MFA Conference in Maine (May 2023) as a Teaching Assistant and I will return in June 2025 as a Director's Assistant.
